Multiple dishes in one cooker

This was fun. Polenta in one jar and pinto beans in the other. Polenta: 3c cold water, 1c cornmeal, 1/4 tsp salt. Stir it all together. Done in about 60 -90 minutes. Perfect, no lumps. However, use a straight sided container instead of a jar, as I did. The polenta will be thick and it was difficult to get the cooked product out of the jar. Pinto beans. 2c dry beans, 5c water, 1 Tbs olive oil, 1/2 c chopped onion, 1 black garlic, sliced. Beans take a long time and as the days are getting shorter, the extended cooking ability of the ASSC Camper come into play. I did not start early, but I did finish late. Stretching for sunshine

I live in a designated "Tree City". So fall and winter tree shadows can have me chasing the sun around the yard. I found a heavy duty (and very tall) tripod at a thrift store. Bolted a base plate to the top and now am using it as shown. I don't recommend you do this unless you have complete control and awareness of your cooking environment. Hot water overhead is dangerous, so I take extra precautions.
